GHS09 environment pictogram

Environment pictogram (GHS09)

The environment pictogram (GHS09) is assigned to one hazard class in UN GHS Rev.11: hazardous to the aquatic environment. Of the three class and category rows below, two take Warning and one has no signal word. They call for three hazard statements (H400, H410 and H411). It is used in the EU under CLP Annex V. OSHA does not require it, and Canada's HPR and Mexico's NOM-018 do not use it on labels: none of the three has environmental hazard classes (NOM-018 Table B.1 shows the symbol, but Table B.3 assigns it to no class). No precedence rule in these regulations removes it or makes it optional.
